The
2nd Edelris Symposium on Affinity Selection-Mass Spectrometry in Drug Discovery will take place online on June 8-9, 2022.

Affinity Selection Mass Spectrometry (AS-MS) is a high-throughput screening technique that is increasingly asserting itself as an approach of interest for exploring new therapeutic targets (Renaud Prudent et al. Nature Reviews Chemistry 2021). Screening is simple to implement as neither the protein nor the screening collection require a specific tag, and it is economically competitive as compounds can be screened in pools. The approach has already demonstrated numerous successes on complex proteins including membrane proteins and protein-protein interactions. Although striking is the potential of the approach to investigate the interaction of small molecules with RNA targets, which are increasingly recognized for their potential as therapeutic targets. AS-MS is emerging as a state-of-the-art method for exploring this new and promising field for drug discovery.

The Symposium will gather in a virtual and interactive format, academic and industrial speakers who have made significant contributions to implement AS-MS at different levels of their organisations. The programme will cover several aspects of AS-MS, featuring recent technological developments and exciting results on hot targets using various chemical matters, from ultra-large libraries of peptides to natural products and small molecule collections.
